Q: Who can participate in the AIA Milwaukee Emerging Professionals Design Competition?

The Competition Brief states that "competition is open to students and interns in the field of architecture and its related disciplines."  Please define "intern".

"Intern" according to this competition is an individual who has received a degree but is not yet licensed, but may be in the process of licensure.

Example of "grey area":  Recent graduate (within the last 2 years) with a Master of Architecture degree who is currently working within a field other than architecture or related discipline who holds an Associate AIA title and has an active account with NCARB for IDP.  Would this person qualify for participation in the competition?

Yes, a person meeting the qualifications stated above does qualify.  The competition is open to all students, graduates, intern architects, and those licensed up to one year.  Those actively pursuing IDP are qualified, and those with an architecture degree but not working in the field are also qualified.

In addition, Page 2 of the Competition Brief states that "All entries may be the of work of an individual or of a team consisting of up to three (3) member." Do all members have to meet the participants qualifications?

Yes, all members of the team must meet the qualifications.
